Practical AI for people with a day job
Northwind AI Academy
Northwind teaches working professionals to use AI on the work they already have — the report that takes a day, the inbox that never empties, the analysis nobody has time for. Short trainings, real exercises, and a coach who reads what you submit. No prior machine learning, no maths, no jargon.
- Built for working professionals — no machine learning background needed
- Every exercise runs on your own real work, not a toy dataset
- A coach reads and responds to what you submit
- Short, finishable courses — a training fits in a coffee break
My story
Most AI training is aimed at one of two people: the engineer who wants to build a model, or the executive who wants a slide about disruption. Almost nobody teaches the person in the middle — the analyst, the marketer, the operations lead, the founder doing six jobs — who has heard the promise, opened the chat box, typed something, got a mediocre answer, and quietly gone back to doing it by hand.
That person is who Northwind is for. We start from a task you actually do, not from a definition of a large language model. The first training has you rewrite a real piece of your own work; by the end of the first week you have three prompts you keep, and a sense for when the machine is confidently wrong.
We teach the boring parts on purpose. How to give a model the context it needs instead of hoping. How to check an answer you can't verify yourself. Where automation genuinely pays for itself, and the much longer list of places it doesn't. What to never paste into a tool your company hasn't approved.
Courses are short and finishable. Each one is a handful of trainings, each training is a video you can watch in a coffee break plus one exercise you do on your own work. A coach reads the submissions — that is the part that makes it stick, and it is the part most courses skip.
Bring one task you'd like back. We'll start there.
